Grado Pineta

Grado Pineta is a quiet area, surrounded by nature, where all the essential services are reachable on foot: supermarket, newsstand, pharmacy, cafés, restaurants, shops, public transport stops, and bathhouses are all within 500 metres from our apartments.

The beach is sandy with shallow water, perfect for children to play safely on the shore, for sunbathing-and-relax lovers, and for sporty people fond of walking on the sand and kitesurfing (activity for which Grado Pineta is famous in all Europe!). There are both free beaches and bathhouses where it’s possible to rent umbrellas and sunbeds, and their kiosks and restaurants.

For swimming lovers on the other hand, it’s possible to rent a pedal boat to reach deeper waters offshore, or you can move to the beaches in Grado centre, where the water has greater depth.

To reach the centre of Grado you can either drive, take the bus, walk or cycle: Grado Pineta is 4 km far from the Old Town and 2 km far from the curative thermae baths, to which is linked by a bus every 30 minutes, and by a cycle and pedestrian lane side by side to the beach.

Grado is famous for its multiple cycle lanes, with paths surrounded by nature, making it a perfect destination for tourists looking for an alternative to the beac, as well: cycling you can reach natural spots such as the reserve “Foce dell’Isonzo” perfect for bird-watching, or the towns Aquileia (important archaeological site) or Palmanova (the star-shaped town, a national monument since the ’60), to arrive up to Austria.
